As the mother of a daughter with complex disabilities, she understands firsthand the challenges, advocacy, and resilience required to navigate the disability, health, and education systems, giving her a compassionate and authentic perspective that guides her work.
With many years of experience within the Department of Education, Bec has developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs of children and young people and the importance of inclusive, person-centred supports. Her extensive knowledge, combined with her lived experience as a parent and carer, enables her to advocate strongly for individuals and families while ensuring their voices remain at the centre of decision-making.
